ORP Kujawiak wreck (Also known as: HMS Oakley, L72)
Location : Malta, (35.8883° N 14.6434° E).
As of 1st May 2019 S-31 is managed by Heritage Malta.
General characteristics of the ship:
Hunt class Polish escort destroyer
Length: 85 m.
In 1942, after an ORP mission, Kujawiak hit a mine off the coast of Valletta, almost within range of the destination. The crew, which was part of the Polish Navy, performed a rescue operation, escorting Allied convoys with supplies to Malta.
