Ta’ċ-Ċawla Caves, located near Gozo, Malta, is an underwater site characterized by its dramatic scenery, including a sheer cliff wall that continues underwater to a depth of 35 meters. The bottom is littered with massive boulders. The site features four caves: two large ones visible from the surface and two completely submerged ones.

The narrower submerged caves start at a depth of 20 meters and extend straight into the cliff for about 40 and 50 meters, respectively.

The larger caves penetrate the cliff wall for 120 and 130 meters and contain a large air pocket at their back, allowing divers to surface. The sight of brilliantly blue and clear water on exiting the caves is described as both fascinating and unforgettable.
